Hello and welcome to EPICA!

 

I’m Bob Burke, founder and lead tutor, and my aim is to help you achieve your dreams of working or studying as an international artist/musician.

Our first programs will focus on preparing for music study, getting ready to work with musicians from other countries, and Songwriting in English.

 

Through 2019-22, I was the Director of English at the Tianjin Juilliard School in China, helping top classical musicians get into Juilliard and achieve a US Masters’ degree.  Previously, I was a music lecturer and international coordinator at Solent University in the UK, helping many international students get onto our university courses and get UK Bachelors’ degrees.  I also hosted music and arts projects across Europe, Africa and Asia, supporting people from different backgrounds work together.  

 

In the arts, you need to talk confidently and clearly about who you are and what you like.  Let’s ‘level the playing field’, so everyone can be creative as equals in your team!
